Teresa Ground Dunn was born and raised in the northern state of Coahuila, Mexico. Her father anticipated that she would be working in a male-dominated business world and, to better prepare her for that, he sent her to a military boarding school in the United States. She was in the top ten percent and was the highest-ranking female cadet at New Mexico Military Institute when she graduated from high school in 1990. Teresa also has a certified public accounting degree and an MBA from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon.
At age 21, Teresa entered the workforce in manufacturing, a male-dominated environment, holding positions as human resources clerk and human resources manager for a small manufacturing company. At 25, she was hired by a private U.S. company to be a plant manager of over 200 employees. At age 27, she was hired by a Fortune 500 manufacturing company to be a plant manager of over 500 employees. Within a year, she was promoted to regional manager for the same company and oversaw their plants and contractors for a total of six facilities. In 2002, she accepted a position with ML Industries and quickly climbed the corporate ladder. She and her husband grew ML Industries from 300 employees to 5,000 employees in 10 years. Today, she is the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of over 5,000 employees.
Teresa is married to Mickey Dunn, Founder and CEO of ML Industries, and they have two children.
